It’s been a crazy few days. It seems as if I never stop. Friday night was a baseball game that was called because of the rain, Saturday was a quick trip to the NYC, and then Monday was an event at work. I swear, I’m not sure how I keep up with myself.
Let me catch you all up on the life and times of Billy! Well, on Friday I packed up the work supplies, sent the baby to spend the night at her nanny’s and picked up Joe and Samantha and we headed to Binghamton, for what was going to be a very chilly and wet night at the B-Mets game. Alas, after I had our table set up and luckily before Samantha changed into the mascot costume the refs called the game. There was this very cold rain/drizzle that wouldn’t let up. So we headed over to Ruby Tuesday’s and hung out with other co-workers, had some dinner and had a good night!
Then on Saturday, my friend Rachel and I headed to the NYC to see Aunt Patty! Again, she was Fierce! That women, I’m not sure how she does it, but she was on. When she walks on that stage and throws her arms up sining Roses Turn it is raw and real. I can’t explain how brills it really is. Don’t take my word for it. Go and see it! Anyway, the drive to the NYC was great. We made it in around 3.5 hours. We parked, got a cab and hoofed it over to brunch at Norma’s at Le Parker Meridan. Such a great place to have breakfast! It is so unbelievably good, you can’t even imagine. So, we order our french toast and bannana pancakes and wait.
When I go in a restaurant, I’m a starer. I want to see who’s around me, what they’re eating, and I try and listen to their conversations. It’s who I am. Anyway, Norma’s is a celebrity sighting spot. It’s one of those secrets of NYC. You don’t really know how good it is unless you are staying at the hotel, which I highly recommend, or have heard about it from others. That said, Rachel and I are sitting there and I look to my left, and two tables away is this very attractive young women. I can’t help but think I know her from somewhere. Now, if you know me, you know that I bump into people all over the world. Some people think it’s freakish. I just know a lot of people. So I’m trying to figure out who she is. Is it a friend from college, my home town, or a former job. Then I hear her speak. I’m done…I know exactly who she is. She is just becoming super famous, she stars in her own network comedy. She is adorable. FYI-she didn’t have a stitch of make-up on and she looked fierce!!!!! Do you know, do you know?
Here she is folks:
That’s right, I was seated near America Ferrera. She is really beautiful. Not that I was surprised, but she is gorgeous. So that was fun. It was great fun to see her. We did leaver her alone and let her live her life without gawking too much!
The rest of the weekend I just relaxed with Joe and O. We watched a movie, had dinner, and just hung out. Then on Monday I worked all day and hosted a work event at night. I’m just glad these last three weeks are over. Now, I can get back to some sort of normal.
Which means, Joe and I are taking the baby and heading to Philly. Which is our fav city. We will be there for the upcoming holiday! I’m looking to a little trip away to stay in the Heavenly Bed at the Westin. O is thrilled she loves the heavenly westin dog bed!
