The phenomenon that is American Idol has always amazed me!  I’ve never really cared for it, and after Chris Daughtry was kicked off Joe and I stopped watching.  It has the same quality that watching a car accident has.  You really don’t want to look, but you can’t help it.  You can’t look away. So we’ve always just tuned in for the last few years.

The few times I had seen the show, or seen clips online, I was always impressed by Adam Lambert.  He seemed to be a real rock star or at the very least a “real” American Idol.  The kid that won was just sort of blah.

It’s like the year that Taylor Hicks won.  At least this kid is “current,” I ‘ll give him that!  The thing that upsets me the most about the whole thing is — I think people voted against Lambert because of who he is.  That’s a pretty sad statement to make.  In 2009 there were people that campaigned to vote against Lambert because of he’s a big ‘Mo!

I have one final thing to say to all these people — get the f&*K over it!  Why do people care who Lambert sleeps with?  I just will never understand…It goes back to the question of same-sex marriage.  Why do people care?  It doesn’t affect them.  The only way it would is if they themselves are big Homos.
